Leadership, Intuition, and the Audacity to Act

One of the most underestimated tools in leadership is 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

In a world obsessed with data, metrics, and strategies, we often forget the power of the inner compass; the still, small voice within that can see what “facts-based analysis” cannot.

For me, this voice continues to guide my journey as a visionary leader driving transformation, shaping conversations, and harnessing Africa’s people potential.

However, intuition alone is not enough. To lead effectively, you need 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 to trust what you sense, even when the path is unclear, and 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 to take bold steps forward, even when fear whispers that it’s safer to stand still.

The story of Joshua in the Bible illustrates this so powerfully. When Moses passed the baton of leadership, Joshua faced an impossible task of leading a nation into the unknown, against fortified cities and seasoned armies.

On paper, it made no sense. Yet God’s charge was clear: “Be strong and courageous… for I am with you.”

Joshua leaned into divine intuition, obeying instructions that seemed unconventional like marching silently around Jericho’s walls. His courage and audacity to act unlocked victories that transformed a people and reshaped history.

That is the true essence of leadership: trusting the inner voice, discerning wisely, and moving boldly even when logic says otherwise.

Our just concluded Bold Roots Bright Codes Conference at Lead For Good Africa reaffirmed this truth: Africa needs young, audacious leaders who will combine courage, intuition, and innovation to create solutions that secure our continent’s prosperity.
